About paulam

The first cookbook I bought was The Joy of Cooking. I was 13. I read it like a novel. A few years later I discovered Bon Appetit magazine. I'm from Argentina and live in Buenos Aires. We didn't find many imported magazines back then. Especially not cooking ones. But I travelled and bought some. So I started a small collection. The father of a friend asked me if I wanted his pile of old cooking magazines. They were BA from the mid-80's. That changed everything. I began to buy magazines, books, started to clip recipes, etc. That's where the name of the blog comes from. I treasure vintage cookbooks, magazines, recipe cards. Now that information is everywhere those old recipes are priceless. In the last years, my piles of cookbooks and magazines have gotten out of control. I need to share my passion (I refuse to say obsession...) Hope you enjoy it as much as I do!
